Lovely received her Bachelors degree in Nursing at Seattle Pacific University, and went on to earn her Masters of Nursing degree at the University of California, Los Angeles. Specializing in Gerontology; she studied the aging process in depth, and applies this knowledge to treat the effects that aging has on the skin.
Lovely is a nationally-recognized Clinical Instructor of advanced injection techniques for aesthetic injectables and trains clinicians across the country on the fine art of giving patients amazing results with these incredible treatments. Skin by Lovely™ is proud to announce that they have recently been named the Southern California Training Center for Aesthetic Advancements, Inc., with clinical students rotating through the practice to learn proper technique and use of aesthetic products.
Lovely is also the co-author of Foundations of Clinical Skin Care, taught through Aesthetic Advancements, Inc. (AAI). This course provides the basic principles and practices of clinical skin care essential to success. Lovely believes that no matter how many injectable procedures a patients receives, if skin care is not provided the whole package of beauty has not been obtained. Physicians, nurses and aestheticians take part in this course and are able to expand their medical aesthetic practices by incorporating combination therapy, clinical safety and management of complications. Additionally, Lovely serves as Chief Product Development Officer for Nue Science, Inc., a Los Angeles-based dermatology product development company. Lovely has led the development of a unique skin care line that was launched throughout the U.S. in early 2011. Is a frequent contributing author for beauty websites such as ‘In With Skin’ and ‘Radar Online’.

Dr. Behrooz A. Torkian is a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon dual board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS), and American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ABO), one of only two boards qualified by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) to perform plastic and reconstructive surgery of the face. He is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS).
Dr. Torkian graduated from University of California, Los Angeles, where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. He then completed his education with a Medical Doctorate at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He went on to complete his specialty training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, Irvine, where he won multiple prizes in recognition of his research during residency.
Dr. Torkian then completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, Irvine. He is one of a select group of surgeons to have trained in a prestigious Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery under the auspices of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Torkian served as Clinical Instructor at the University of California, Irvine in the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery. He continues to hold this title as Volunteer Clinical Faculty in order to teach the fellows and residents interested in Facial Plastic Surgery. He has also served as Attending Surgeon at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center, and at Kaiser Permanente in Orange County. Here he supervised residents and fellows in Nasal surgery including Rhinoplasty and nasal reconstruction, as well as reconstruction of skin cancer defects.
His vast experience has prepared Dr. Torkian to provide the highest level of care in Plastic Surgery of the Face and Nose. Dr. Torkian notes, “My aesthetic goals for each patient are to safely and effectively improve their features to accent their natural beauty without the obvious stigmata of cosmetic surgery. My patients often tell me, ‘people cannot tell what I have had done. They say I look refreshed and well-rested – not ‘done” – the utmost complement to patient and surgeon alike.”
Catherine Governale, B.S. holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, an Aesthetics Certificate
from Santa Monica College and completed her medical aesthetics training at one of the busiest plastic surgery offices in Los Angeles.
Catherine specializes in advanced anti-aging treatments that leave the client looking & feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and refreshed. Catherine is certified in a variety of skin care treatments and procedures; including the iDerm™ “Electric Facial”, Skinmaster™, PCA Peels™, ViPeel™, & Cosmelan™. While she is skilled in treating all skin types; Catherine’s specialties include treating & improving the appearance of wrinkles, sun damage and acne.
When Catherine is not working her magic on the skin of Spa @ SBL™ clients, she freelances as a professional makeup artist and spends time with her son George and husband Josh.
