The best part about the procedure: you will have no downtime and should be able to continue your day immediately after receiving your injections. Results vary but are usually visible by day seven. To make your treatment more comfortable, we apply ice to the treatment areas prior to the first injection. Your Aesthetic Injection Specialist will inject BOTOX Cosmetic into the targeted muscles using a very fine gauge needle. Most patients describe the treatment as very tolerable, as we utilize numbing and small, short needles for application. At most, you will feel a small pinch. After we perform a series of injections into the muscles, we will reapply ice to minimize swelling and bruising. We will then book your follow-up appointments and send you home with aftercare instructions.

A few things that you can do to avoid swelling and bruising before you come in for a BOTOX® or filler treatment is to avoid alcohol 24 hours in advance, avoid strenuous exercise 24 hours in advance, stop any type of NSAID, ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin, anything like that, and don’t take any vitamin E.
