PORTLAND, Ore. — Skin by Lovely™, Oregon’s leading provider of medical aesthetics has moved from NW 14th in The Pearl District to the Northrup Medical Building in Portland’s Alphabet District. The move coincides with the Company’s recent recognition as a top 50 Level Clinic for Allergan and Presidential Executive Level for Galderma. The move allows the Company to better serve its increasing number of patients and growing staff.

“We are thrilled to be able to share our new, sustainably-designed office with our current and future patients,” said Jake Laban, general manager, Skin by Lovely. “We worked closely with our builders and designers to make sure the office would reduce our carbon footprint, while also providing a calm and nurturing environment for our patients”

New Office Design
Skin by Lovely founders/owners Jake and Lovely Laban worked with local firm JHL Design Inc. to create a space that achieved a high level of functionality, while keeping the space relaxing and rejuvenating. Design elements and materials were carefully chosen for sustainable and eco-friendly properties, which underscored the Labans’ goal to create a sustainable business model. From the Krownlab sliding glass doors to utilize natural light, to eco-friendly carpets and vinyl flooring, many of the design elements and materials were locally sourced and fabricated.

“We are excited to unveil, an efficient multifunctional and sustainably minded space that evokes the essence of the Skin by Lovely vision and brand,” said Holly A. Freres, owner, JHL Design. “We thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of achieving the Laban’s wish list all within a unique physical footprint.”

Focus on Education
One of the tenants of Skin by Lovely’s philosophy is education, which lead to two oversized exam rooms for better hands-on, group training. The Company hosts training programs for staff as well as physicians and nurses from around the country.

Skin by Lovely’s educational programs are meeting a growing need in the rapidly evolving field of aesthetics. Medical professionals are able to learn not merely how to inject, but to deliver services that are exceptional and safe. Public and consumer education through will also be offered through the Skin by Lovely educational program.

Strategic Partners
Skin by Lovely partnered with property managers Eastern Western Corp. to plan and execute the necessary building renovations in a sustainably responsible manner. The locally owned and family operated real estate investment and property management firm that manages the Northrup Building also places an emphasis on sustainable business practices, designing, constructing and maintaining energy efficient buildings.

“It is a pleasure to work with like-minded tenants that share in our efforts to reduce the environmental impact with every building we renovate and manage,” said Todd Hepp, LEED AP and Director of Property Management and Facilities at Eastern Western Corp. “Skin by Lovely’s new office design embodies several unique sustainable elements, while remaining a highly functional and sophisticated atmosphere.
