Brittany: Hi. Today we’re going to talk about the Eclipse Micropen.

The Eclipse Micropen is this pen right here. It has 12 little micro-needles at the end of it. And what it does is it vibrates on the patient’s skin. You can change the depth of the pen depending on which area of the face you’re going to do. What it does is create little micro-injuries or micro-trauma to the face to stimulate collagen production.

Eclipse Micropen microneedling treatmentSo we’re going to start the treatment today. Her areas of concern are her lower face, cheeks, chin, upper lip, and around the eyes. We’re going to dial the Micropen depending on the area that we’re doing. We’re going to start off with her cheeks and her lower face. This is her second treatment out of a series of four. The first treatment we did 1.00 around the cheeks and the lower face, the chin, and we did 0.7 on her upper lip. Today we’re going to do 1.5 on her cheeks and her chin. We’re going to do 0.25 on her upper lip, and were going to do 0.25 around her eyes.  We’re going to start off by using the glide gel that comes with the Micropen. We’re just going to paint a thin layer on her face so that the Micropen can sufficiently glide across without causing pain. And then like I said, we’re doing 1.5 on her cheeks and her lower face. We’re going to start off with this side. We’re going to want to do three passes, one horizontal, one vertical, and then one at a diagonal.

[buzzing]

Doing okay?

Woman: Mm-mm.

Brittany: Depending on the patient’s skin and the depth of the Micropen, you can sometimes see pinpoint bleeding, and that is okay.

[buzzing]

We’ll continue to do her other side of her cheek and her lower face both of these 1.5 and the lower face at 1.0.

Okay, so now we’re actually going to move on to the eye area. Again, we’re doing it at 0.25. We put on the gliding gel, and we’re going to do three passes as well.

[buzzing]

We’re going to be careful and stay right around the orbital bone.
