Skin by Lovely Portland and Santa Monica are seeking talented medical assistants with a passion for aesthetic dermatology. Primary responsibilities include providing support for our Injection Specialists and providing first-class patient care. Priority will be given to applicants with medical, aesthetic or skincare experience and compensation will be based on the applicant’s ability, skills, and relevant skills.

Aesthetic Consultant Responsibilities:
• Creating a world-class experience by developing relationships with our patients and sharing top-quality, product education.
• Manage front desk duties such as checking patients in/out, answering phone calls, greeting clients
• Maintain relationships with all current and previous clients and build strong client rapport
• Work collaboratively with medical teams to ensure premier client experience.

Sales:
• Initiate sales process by scheduling appointments with warm leads; conduct pre-consultation; describe Skin by Lovely’s treatments and skincare brands professionally and with an expert knowledge base.
• Close sales by building rapport with potential patients; explain product and service capabilities; overcome objections.
• Expand sales in existing accounts by introducing new products and services

Medical Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:
Day-to-Day:
• Reconstitute neurotoxin and restock rooms.
• Restock drawers, jars, and cabinets.
• Look at the provider-patient schedule and anticipate needs.
• Taking patient photos and uploading them to the EMR
• Rooming patients
• If you’re tied up in a room assisting a provider, let the AC/ PROVIDER group chat know.
• Turnover rooms for your designated provider
• Following up with patients who are running late for their appointment.

Skills:
• Reconstituting and dating neurotoxin
• Drawing up neurotoxin per provider preference and tray set-up
• Drawing up neurotoxin for hyperhidrosis per provider preference
• Kybella
• Drawing up in syringes per provider instruction
• PRF
o Drawing blood
o Tubes in the centrifuge
o Pulling up PRF in syringes
• Sculptra
o Reconstituting vials
o Assist in room
o Draw up in syringes
• Preparing patients for filler or microneedling
o Apply numbing cream to the face
o Preparing patients for lip filler
o Applying numbing cream as needed
• Retrieving filler
• Familiarize yourself with the names (and nicknames) of all the filler
• Be sure to check volume (0.55ml or 1.0 ml)
• Make sure the product is not expired.
• Packaging and dating leftover filler.

Medical Assistant Float: Will act as a MA float on busier clinic days and assist where needed and determined by the practice manager.
Ad Hoc Requests: Support of Clinic Manager for other tasks as requested.

All patients are required to complete a COVID screening and wear masks while not receiving treatment. All employees are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 with an approved vaccine.
