Results vary but are usually noticeable in the first week, with full results seen within three. It’s important to keep in mind Juvederm Ultra Plus XC, as with all fillers, is temporary and additional visits will be necessary to maintain the look you want.

Juvederm Ultra Plus XC is a colorless gel comprised of hyaluronic acid, a natural sugar produced in our bodies, especially the skin where it helps retain moisture and lubrication. In addition, Juvederm Ultra Plus XC contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to make receiving the injection more comfortable. It’s a denser version of Juvederm Ultra XC, allowing us to resolve facial wrinkles, folds, and lines that are deeper and more pronounced. Allergan formulated this cosmetic product expressly for deep nasolabial folds, those which form from your nose to the edges of your mouth, and marionette lines, which develop from the edges of your mouth to your jawline. However, it has other applications, including the cheeks and, in some cases, the lips.

When you arrive for your first dermal filler treatment, your Aesthetic Injection Specialist will disinfect the treatment areas. Ice will be applied beforehand, but since Juvederm Ultra Plus XC contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic, pain should be minimal. Your Aesthetic Injection Specialist will strategically inject Juvederm Ultra Plus XC using a fine gauge needle to plump and smooth your skin and achieve a younger, fresher look.

If you’re over 21 and in good health, then you are likely a good candidate for Juvederm Ultra Plus XC or similar injectable fillers. However, certain health conditions and medications can interact with dermal filler treatments, so it’s important to discuss these with your Aesthetic Injection Specialist prior to your procedure. Women who are pregnant or nursing should not have fillers.
