Xeomin

Xeomin, like Botox or Dysport, is a botulinum toxin derivative used for the temporary treatment of age-related wrinkles and lines. This treatment, created by Merz Pharmaceuticals, works to reduce muscular contractions within the targeted area, and allows the associated tissue to relax for a more youthful appearance. Like Dysport, Xeomin diffuses, or spreads, and can address a larger area of concern with fewer injections. Unlike its competitors, this injectable treatment is manufactured without additives making it a “naked injectable” which does not require refrigeration before administration.

Whether you prefer Xeomin or BOTOX, the choice in provider is clear; Skin by Lovely is the #1 BOTOX provider in Santa Monica and in the top 10 nationwide, providing more injectable treatments in two weeks than most practices provide in a full year. That experience, coupled with our focus on continuing education and training, make our providers some of the most sought out injectors in the United States. Injectables aren’t just one thing we do; it’s all we do!

Real patient results

One of the most common complaints we hear from candidates for wrinkle relaxers is that they have started noticed their makeup “getting stuck” in creases or wrinkles.

Xeomin FAQs

Xeomin downtime?

Sometimes dubbed as “lunchtime procedures”, injectable treatments, such as Xeomin, take only about 30 minutes, after which you may continue your daily activities with only the briefest of interruptions.

Results for Xeomin are usually noticeable within seven days, with full results being reached within two weeks. You can expect the treatment to last about three months.

Xeomin is comparable to Botox in price and results, though results for Xeomin may take a few days more to appear, and may not have the same longevity. Unlike both other injectables, Xeomin is “naked” meaning it contains no additives or proteins.

In 2011, Xeomin was approved by the FDA for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines (frown lines) in adults. It is considered safe for most people, especially with only one ingredient. This is particularly important for patients who are allergic to ingredients in other botulinum toxin injectables.

If you are an adult in good overall health, and seeking aesthetic enhancements which contain no additives, you may be a good candidate for this procedure. You may want to avoid this treatment if you have experienced a reaction to similar treatments in the past. Discuss your medical history with one of our providers during your consultation; this is the best way to find out if Xeomin is right for you.
